Samsung Galaxy M52: A Phone with a Great form Factor

Samsung Galaxy M series was the Monster series of their smartphone lineup. Earlier they released the Samsung Galaxy M51 which had a large 7000mAh battery backup. But Samsung Galaxy M52 is a slim device. In this, battery backup has been reduced to 5000mAh due to which the phone has become light and compact.

Design and looks: Samsung Galaxy M52 has a very clean design. It looks very premium. The rear panel is plastic, with plastic frames. The right side of the phone has a volume controller along with a power button integrated with a fingerprint sensor. There is no headphone jack on offer. There is a hybrid dual sim slot on the left. It has a punch-hole display which is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

Display: Samsung Galaxy M52 has a punch-hole display, with 6.7 inches in size. It is a Super AMOLED panel with a 120Hz Refresh Rate. The resolution of the camera is 1080 X 2400 pixels and screen to body ratio is 86.4%. The phone’s display is very bright and sharp. Samsung flagship displays are always the best.

Camera: Samsung Galaxy M52 has a triple camera setup integrated at the back panel of the phone. It has a 64MP primary sensor, along with a 12MP ultra-wide and 5MP macro camera. The ultra-wide camera has 123° FOV. The rear camera can shoot 4K vids at 30FPS. Even the front camera with 32MP can shoot 4K vids @ 30FPS. Although the phone has Camera2API support so GCam MOD can be installed on this device.

Specifications: Samsung Galaxy M52 has powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778 5G processor. It is a 6nm processor and is very power efficient. This processor is tuned with two specifications:
– 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM
– 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM
The RAM type is LPDDR4X and UFS 2.1 is the ROM type. Out of the box, Samsung Galaxy M52 has Android 11-based OneUI 3.0. The phone can be upgraded to Android 12. It will also get Samsung’s OneUI 5 upgrade in early 2023.

Battery and Connectivity: There is a 5000mAh battery fitted to Samsung Galaxy M52. It has been reduced from 7000mAh from the last version of M52. The phone does have fast charging support of 25W, but the company gives a 15W charger in the box. There are all types of sensors available in the device. The phone has 11 bands 5G connectivity, along with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, and NFC for contactless payments.

Samsung Galaxy M52 is a great smartphone, starting at ₹24,999 in India. Although the battery backup has been reduced the phone can last for a day or a maximum of a day and a half. It has great camera specs and UI experience.
