Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Review: For those who missed the Samsung Note series in 2021, there is a new Galaxy that will end your wait: the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Look at this and you’ll see the perks because it looks like a top-tier hand-on before releases.
We must have a detailed discussion on the Galaxy S22 Ultra before the Samsung XK official unpacked event at King’s Cross London. Here are our first thoughts on what it has to offer.

When we look at the Ultra, it is completely different from its previous release Galaxy S22 and S22 +. First, it is the largest of the three models, giving it high elegance. Its screen edges are also curved unlike other models in the range, giving it a truly unique style.
In many ways, it looks like the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra on the front. However, the design and camera layout behind it is completely different from Samsung’s. Most of the lenses in the upper corner of the handset are much deeper in body shape than before, rendering any kind of enclosure, making them more comfortable.
We think it is a beautiful arrangement to illuminate the chosen color between the lens sizes. Our photos show the Phantom Black – probably the smallest of the four available – but there is also a choice of white, green, or burgundy. You will not find the Pink Gold option of S22 and S22 + (we do not think it will be missed much).
This should come as no surprise as the 3.5mm headphone jack is not available on the Ultra, but the fact that storage capacity is more important than purchasing after a microSD extension. This is a very good standard for any flagship these days, however, adding at least Corning Gorilla Glass Victus + and IP68 dust and water resistance to add durability.
Overall, the design of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra makes you think of the old, beautiful Note Ultra, but its refinement and versatility in camera design really help to set it apart from the rest of the S22 series.

The displays on the Galaxy S22 and S22 + models are close to flat – with rounded corners that determine the screen display area – and the S22 Ultra Well Curved Edge panel makes its theme truly unique for the audience. It looks like a completely different phone, it’s cut out for a different series.
Whether you like the idea of curved panels is another matter, however, many manufacturers these days are looking for flat panels. There are several reasons: curved panels can cause light and color fading; They are more likely to be accident-prone.
However, it is said that Samsung is really good at preventing the problem of accidental touch using smart software, as far as we can see the visual effect of this screen attracts the attention of many users – it looks very interesting. Additionally, at this 6.8-inch scale, those smooth edges are more comfortable to hold across.
The display has additional attractive features like overall 1750 knit high lighting. The colors on the AMOLED panel are really impressive, the whites are bright and very clean, while the blacks are as deep and rich as you can find on any mobile phone. There are also significant adjustments, offering QHD + 500ppi pixel density – and, anyway, much higher.
When it comes to upgrades, Samsung has never gone too far, providing a powerful 120Hz panel so that the device can automatically adjust to handset updates on its screen once a second or up to 120 times per second – all depending on the material that requires additional cycling. Uninterrupted. If a Korean company upgrades to 144Hz or 165Hz, we suspect that the gain will be lower and will have a negative impact on battery life.
