Samsung Galaxy S22: Design, Pricing, Performance, and more!

The Samsung Galaxy S22 is a victory for everyone who loves mobile devices. In practically every area, it is comparable to the giant Galaxy S22 Plus, but it is far more pleasant to operate with one hand.

The Galaxy S22 is a serious candidate for the most excellent compact flagship, if not ever, but its terrible Achilles heel is its diminished battery life.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 S22 has an excellent design. It appears almost comparable to its predecessor, the Galaxy S21. On the other hand, Samsung has polished the style, giving the S22 a more angular appearance.

The front and rear are glass slabs held together by a flat metal frame. The result: depending on how you look at it, the Galaxy S22 resembles an iPhone 13, which is not bad. Because the glass on the rear is frosted, the phone is exceptionally smooth to the touch and does not accumulate fingerprints. Surprisingly, despite its smoothness, the phone does not feel slippery.

Performance of Samsung Galaxy S22

Samsung Galaxy S22

The entire experience is basically what you would expect from a flagship Samsung smartphone, and everything operates smoothly owing to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. I haven’t seen any twitches while browsing the UI, and even with only 8GB of RAM, the Galaxy S22 seems to be up to the task.

However, when playing visually heavy games, the phone becomes relatively warm. Of course, I don’t always have to play games; sometimes, I’ll be juggling applications or watching videos, and I’ll notice the phone getting heated.

Although Samsung has yet to indicate when the stable version of One UI 5 will be released, Google claimed during the Android 13 rollout for Pixels that Samsung will be among the OEMs releasing Android 13 by the end of 2022.

Battery Life

Verdict

We might argue whether a 6.1-inch smartphone counts as a compact flagship, but I think the Galaxy S22 qualifies. Samsung’s latest entry-level flagship is a precisely scaled-down replica of the Galaxy S22 Plus, with identical cameras, screens, and configuration possibilities. It has been improved rather than reinvented, keeping Samsung on par with its competitors.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 is a fantastic compact flagship smartphone. The plain Galaxy S22 lacks the idiosyncrasies of Samsung’s more inventive handsets, making it stand out. It’s compact, simple, and highly effective, and it’s only a battery short of becoming the finest little flagship.
