Locke & Key is a popular fantasy horror drama that premiered on Netflix in 2020. Based on Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s comic book series of the same name, this series features the aftermath of the murder of Rendell Locke.

His wife along with their three children Kinsey, Bode, and Tyler then moves to Rendell’s family home in Massachusetts, named Keyhouse. Very soon the children find out some mysterious keys that unlock magical doors.

Eventually, the presence of a demonic evil entity comes to the surface which is also looking for those keys for some selfish reason.

‘Locke & Key’ ran for two seasons with the first episode releasing on February 7, 2020. Starring Darby Stanchfield, Emilia Jones, Connor Jessup, Jackson Robert Scott, Petrice Jones, Laysla De Oliveira, Griffin Gluck, etc.

This American fantasy tv series premiered on January 25, 2016, and after six long seasons wrapped itself up on September 10, 2021. Lucifer is originally taken from the comic series ‘The Sandman‘, the titular character of which becomes the protagonist of a later spin-off series.

Tom Ellis’s face has become very familiar as he personifies the character of Lucifer Morningstar as well as Lauren German’s as detective Chole Decker.

Fred Allen and Deloris Allen are two monster hunters who become entangled with evil as they return to their family home with their twin children after Fred’s father dies. But Fred begins to be haunted by the childhood memories of his brother’s death as the presence of evil starts to introduce itself more.

October Faction‘ is based on the comic book series of the same name by Steve Niles and Damien Worm and premiered on January 23, 2020. It made a pretty good impression on the fans’ minds with Tamara Taylor and J.C. Mackenzie as Deloris and Fred Allen respectively.

4. Raising Dion-

Based on Dennis Liu’s comic book and a short film of the same name, ‘Raising Dion‘ premiered on Netflix on October 4, 2019. After her husband’s death, a woman named Nicole is now raising her son single-handedly. But her struggle as a simple mother heightens to a new degree when her son Dion begins to show superhuman abilities.

Being aware of the possible exploitation of Dion’s power, Nicole is now determined to keep her son’s power a secret. Her late husband’s best friend is also aiding her in that mission. Amidst all these, Nicole also tries to find the root of Dion’s magical power.

The series received mixed reviews with the hope that the family drama and superhero material will coexist more promisingly in its upcoming seasons. Speaking of that, ‘Raising Dion’ has announced a second season that is set to release on February 1, 2022, on Netflix.

5. The Umbrella Academy-

The source of the events of ‘The Umbrella Academy‘ goes long back to the year 1989 when one random day 43 infants were born from random women who had no sign of pregnancy before the births took place. Years later after their father’s death, they reunite to solve the mystery surrounding the death. But differences in personality and opinions make it harder for them to work together.

Based on the comic book series of the same name by Gerard Way, ‘The Umbrella Academy’ premiered on January 15, 2019, and ran for 2 seasons till now.

Fans of the superhero genre liked this show very much especially for the distinct tone of this superhero series. The second season became the 6th most-watched show of 2020 falling behind shows like ‘The Queen’s Gambit’ and ‘Ratched’.
