Wendy Williams Updates: Wendy Williams is said to be disappointed with her producers’ shortlisting of suitable alternative hosts, particularly Leah Remini. Due to Williams’ health issues, the producers of The Wendy Williams Show were forced to postpone the Season 13 premiere in September.
The former The Talk co-host will be sitting in Williams’ purple chair when the show returns on Tuesday. According to sources close to Williams, she did not approve of Remini hosting the show.
“No one sought Wendy’s approval before hiring Leah,” a source told Radar Online. “They’ll claim they’re protecting Wendy and don’t want to bother her when she’s healing, and yet her name should be above the front door, and she should have been consulted on this.” Remini is now only hosting the event until the close of this week, and no replacement has been announced.
