Monster Hunter Stories 2 Post-Launch Roadmap Released

Monster Hunter Stories 2 Updates: Capcom has released a post-launch roadmap for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, and it has revealed some of the new Monsters that are getting introduced to the game in the future.

Unlike the mainstream Monster Hunter games, the Monster Hunter Stories games are turn-based Role Playing Games, in which the player must team up with the creatures that they have tamed and turned docile.

As an alternative to playing as a Hunter who fights the monsters, the hero of Monster Hunter Stories 2 is a Rider who forms a bond with a Monster that they have raised up and tamed from an egg and fights alongside them in the battles.

The Rider is given a task to discover the origins of a strange Rathalos, who may possess the power to end the world with a beat of its wings. The Rathalos are male flying Monsties who appear in every single monster hunter game.

They are powerful and are an icon in the Monster Hunter games. The rider and his Monster must travel the world in search of answers, while also collecting and developing a team of powerful Monsties to use in battle.

IGN

Monster Hunter Rise, which is going to be your buddies and ride, arriving on July 15. As long as you ride a Malamute, your stamina will be intact and you can roam the field without any fear of falling.

The first update will add the Soulseer Mizutsune which is similar to a Mizutsune but a bit larger and blind, the Elderfrost Gammoth which has blue fur unlike a Gammoth and causes blizzards and avalanches in snowy areas, and the Oroshi Kirin which is a subspecies of Kirin and more aggressive and also able to summon ice shards, as monsters. The final update will arrive in October and it will add Silver Rathalos and Gold Rathian as Monsties, along with a mysterious monster in a co-op quest.

It’s unclear if the same will happen for Monster Hunter Stories 2, but the game will still receive a lot of extra wars for players to take part in. The content will add a lot of notorious strong monsters from the series, for the players who stick around after the end credits have finished rolling.
