Sex Education Season 3 Is Not Currently Scheduled for Release in October 2021

Sex Education Season 3 Updates: The message in question comes from Netflix Updates, a Facebook page (under the name Netflix Diaries), and a Twitter account. They typically share fan photos of performances, though they’ve been known to make up a poster with dates to indicate a concert would be released shortly.

The most recent offensive false news piece claims that Season 3 will be released on Netflix in October 2021. They then go on to connect to Fansided’s NetflixLife, a fellow Netflix fansite.

They link to their major season 3 preview for Sex Education in particular. They don’t indicate a precise release date in that preview, instead of saying:

“We expect this show to return for a third season as early as August or September 2021, and as late as October 2021.”
So, what exactly is going on here? First and foremost, it was released with the goal of going viral.

Collecting fictitious internet points, on the other hand, is made extra sweeter if you can also make a few cents. In this case, that’s exactly what’s going on. A little tag has been added to the end of the aforementioned NetflixLife link.

They’re hoping that this gets viral enough to drive enough people to that link, which will produce revenue for them.

The most recent false message from this account became viral in February 2021, prompting Netflix to respond. A November 2021 release date was suggested on the poster. Below is a link to that Tweet.

However, as of June 2021, the release date for that program, You season 3, has yet to be determined. This isn’t an outlandish schedule, but Netflix has yet to confirm it.

Of course, you could argue that this is all in good fun and that no one is injured, but false news is rampant in the entertainment industry, and it’s worth fighting it anytime you see it.
