Google has announced that it would give a new Locked Folder in Google Photos, which would help users to store their memories more securely. Google Photos is already so popular, and having a feature like this makes it even more attractive for users.

The Locked Folder, is basically a folder specifically for storing images. Users can store photos that they don’t want others to see. An extra level of privacy is being offered here. There are many photos that users want to store privately. This feature can help a lot. Though Google has said that the feature of Locked Folder will arrive, it hasn’t given a specific date as of when it would come to devices. The company has though confirmed that the feature would arrive this year, starting with their own Google Pixel smartphones.
Google Photos’ Locked Folder is essentially a password-protected feature. Once it is set up, the users who know the password can only access the folder, which adds a level of privacy for the users. Additionally, users won’t be able to see the Locked Folder when scrolling through the gallery. You can use various methods to secure the Lock Folder, such as fingerprints and PIN.
The Locked Folder feature was missing from Google Photos. And now it has finally arrived. It seems like an essential feature, knowing the fact that there are many important photos and videos that we need to keep private. There are many other file storage services where this feature has already been functional, and the addition of this in Google Photos was a must.
