There’s news for Samsung users. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite and Galaxy A72 have started getting May 2021 Android security updates. A72 users from the country of Spain have started to receive the updates. And Russian Samsung users are getting updates on their Note 10 Lite. There is no info. regarding when users other than in these regions would get the update.
The A72’s update is bringing improvements in the camera quality, call quality, and much more. The news about the updates was first reported by SamMobile.
Both the devices are receiving the latest month security patch, and are getting some bug fixes and improvements. On the A72 however, Samsung is adding some useful features for video calling. These features would allow users to have video effects during video calling sessions such as blur effect, opaque color background, and can even use custom images for the background. In the days of the pandemic, such additions become so useful, as we are always on video calls for various reasons. These video effects would also be applicable for the third-party video calling apps such as Zoom, Google Duo, and Microsoft Teams.
Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 Lite and A72 May 2021 Android Security Update
The Note 10 Lite is getting some additions to its OS. Samsung also claims that they are adding improvements alongside improving the camera performance. They are also working on enhancing Quick Share, a feature for sharing files between devices.
Though Samsung has started rolling out the updates in specific regions only, other regions might slowly start to get the updates. The Note 10+ had got the updates before, as they have a higher priority in the markets.
The firmware version of the new update on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite is N770FXXU7EUE2. And for the Galaxy A72, it is A725FXXU2AUE1. The size of the new update for the A72 is around 317 MB, while the size of the same for the Note 10 Lite is unknown. You can check whether your device is updated to the latest security updates or not through the settings of your device. Users must always try to keep their devices updated to the latest versions, which helps reduce security threats and offers a better experience.
