Naruto: What Karma Is – and How Boruto Has It

Naruto Updates: The realms of Naruto and Boruto are full of curious occurrences. Many special instruments and creations result from the convergence of magic and science. The Karma symbol, on the other hand, is one of the world’s most powerful and dangerous things.

A Karma tattoo can appear to be a diamond-shaped tattoo at first sight. They’re much more dangerous than that, though. Karmas are small spikes in the shape of a pyramid.

They’re injected into the skin until they’re smooth with the surrounding skin, giving them the illusion of being a normal part of the human. Many that get close enough to a Karma might find tiny circuitry-like artifacts inside.

Naruto: Karma Explained

This technology exists for a single purpose. When a Ōtsutsuki dies in combat, their spirit will enter one of their hot bodies and take possession of it for its own purposes.

The Ōtsutsuki will use the host body to reincarnate themselves if the Karma fully overwrites the host’s genetic material. As a result, most Ōtsutsuki only use Karma when they believe they have received a deadly wound.

Although, the technique isn’t as clear as it seems. A host must be able to deal with Karma. If anyone tries to implant Karma into an incompatible entity, the host will almost certainly die.

Comic Book

Boruto received his Karma after defeating Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki. Momoshiki inserts the Karma into his right palm as Boruto charges on, suggesting that Boruto is steadily being revamped to become Momoshiki’s ideal vessel.

Kawaki’s Karma, on the other hand, is a bit more complicated: it was initially implanted in Jigen by Isshiki, but Jigen was able to pass the Karma marks to Kawaki.

When Kawaki’s Karma triggers, the marks on his body nearly exactly match those on Boruto’s when he used his Karma. Since their marks have echoed, Boruto and Kawaki can sense and expel each other’s anger and suffering, as well as whatever chakra the other has consumed.

When one Karma goes off, it sets off the other. This also means that once one of them exceeds the limit of their Karma, the other will die as a result of overwork. When Boruto and Kawaki are together, they must be highly vigilant, particularly if fighting is involved.

Karmas are intriguing items that raise a number of unanswered questions about the future of the Boruto plot and the eventual destiny of the titular character.
