Black Clover Updates: With the story arc from its most recent episode, Black Clover gave us our first real glimpse at Asta’s mum. With the upcoming episode of the season, Black Clover’s anime will finally come to a conclusion and the very last episode set the tone for this huge payoff with some massive teases for what’s to happen ahead in the story.
Asta has formally seen the devil in his grimoire as part of the Devil-Binding Ritual necessary to actually use his devil’s influence in future battles, as he has started his practicing with Nacht.
Although this was a massive deal in and of itself, it seems that the anime is gearing up for one of the greatest surprises yet, as the season finale for the penultimate episode gives us our first clear view of Asta’s mother.
About the fact that she has yet to be called or appointed as such in the anime, this is a monumental moment that fans of Yuki Tabata’s original manga series have been waiting for since the Spade Kingdom arc was reported.
Black Clover Asta’s Mom: The Highlight
Comic BookAsta and his Devil clash in Episode 169 of the series as part of the Soul-Binding Ritual, which means he must fight and kill the devil in his grimoire in order to gain possession of the power.
Yet, even if his devil is behaving poorly (and even claiming that any devil is a “piece of shit”), Asta isn’t making it affect him or change his general feelings against him. Asta’s devil is taken aback because Asta claims that only because his devil is a devil doesn’t mean he’s inherently bad.
He notices a silhouette of a strange woman that resembles Asta and has identical hair and eyes. Up to the point of possessing the same attitude, this lady assures the devil he’s not a bad person in the dying minutes of the show.
The series’ season finale will dive into the full depth of Asta’s mother’s friendship with the devil, so it won’t be far before we hear more of these final important changes to the sequence.
