Skyrim Enderal Modders Announce A New Game In Final Patches

Skyrim Updates: SureAI, the artistic force behind Enderal, launched the final patch for the innovative mod this week for The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim.

Since its focus has moved to a new, commercial project that has yet to be called, the German developer stopped funding the mod. In the past two decades, SureAI has established a strong reputation in the modding world by making some of the biggest and most in-depth mods for the two flagship series of Bethesda The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.

Since its release in 2011, due in large part to the vast mod culture surrounding it, Skyrim has continued to retain much of its success. From unauthorized game patches to ridiculously silly reskins, any possible Skyrim experience seems to have a mod.

The group has not ceased to build and repair content, even with the announcement of The Elder Scrolls 6. One of the most ambitious mods to date is Enderal, produced by SureAI, but this week sadly marks the end of its continued support for fans.

SureAI let players know in the notes for the new patch that patch 1.4.6.0 will be the last one for the mod, and that no further work would be done for Enderal, including a Skyrim: Special Edition update.

This is because the developer has shifted its attention to a new, commercial project it plans to launch later this year. For more news about this still-secret project, fans who are interested should keep track of SureAI’s Twitter, Facebook, and Discord.

It is something that would potentially excite fans of the team’s job, whatever SureAI has arranged. In turn, the Enderal mod is its own game that merely uses the Skyrim engine; others praised it as an experience better than AAA games made by studios with far more manpower.

It makes sense that the expansion team is willing to move on to something new and financially feasible. Although fans may be upset that Enderal is no longer receiving funding, that should be compensated for by the news of SureAI having its own intellectual property.

Using The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim’s engine before the limited edition re-release, the accomplishments this creator was able to accomplish were truly incredible and it was all without making a profit. Over the coming years, SureAI has a chance to be the latest, breakthrough producer.
