Tacoma FD has ranked among ad-supported cable’s top five comedy series and so far, Season 2 has reached 11 million viewers and counting.
The network wants to stay the hearth burning and has ordered a 13-episode third season. Coming off the exciting news, we sat down with Heffernan and Lemme, who also collaborated on the Storm Troopers movies, to speak about the series’ success.
Tacoma FD Season 3: Experience of Firefighters:
We collected these stories from firefighters, and that they have these great elements from their jobs and life. one among the things they talked about was this firefighter’s ball.
While laying it out, we had all this funny material. We need to accomplish tons because it covered all the characters and that we could spend time with the story arcs. It really was a culmination. We didn’t want it to be one among those situations where it had been just totally lame.
We started tossing around ideas like inviting real firefighters. We had a bunch of real l. a. firefighters. We said to come down in [you’re] Class A uniforms, bring a date, dress up for the ball, and we’ll pay you. They experienced the fun and had a great time. It is one of the best comic stories. It’s a family movie to watch and have some quality time.

It got 8/10 ratings and 4.6/5 stars. The show is so funny and amazing. I just discovered it last night accidentally on TBS and couldn’t stop laughing. It’s by the Broken Lizard group, an equivalent guy that brought us Super Troopers.
The sole thing that’s a touch weird is that it’s alleged to be based in Tacoma, WA, which is supposedly the rainiest city within the USA (it’s not), and none of the scenes are filmed there; they’re all filmed in CA.
I’m from Western WA and that they reference other nearby cities like my hometown of Olympia, in order that was cool. Funny, funny, funny and I am so happy that it got renewed for a second season.
Basically my favorite new show this year. I used to be excited to listen to this show before it premiered and now I can say I’m not, nor have I once been disappointed by this series.
It’s a really welcome break from the nonstop run of Impractical Jokers, which I also truly love. But TruTV runs almost nothing but Impractical Jokers round the clock, and that I feel they ought to show tons more of their original programming and comedies even within the offseasons.
Tacoma FD must stick around for an extended while, for everyone’s sake. Everyone on this show is simply hilarious as they’ve managed to fill every role, it seems, with almost the right and funniest fit the work. Well done on Tacoma FD, to everyone involved. Just wonderfully hilarious.
