Enola Holmes: Audience to witness a different Sherlock Holmes in the movie

Enola Holmes Sherlock Holmes will be different from our known one. Nancy Springer made a book series called “The Enola Holmes Mysteries” which got adapted to make a film with the name “Enola Holmes”. The film is a Netflix original directed by Jack Throne.
The plot :
The plot revolves around a fourteen – year -old girl Enola, sister of Sherlock and Mycroft. She is the youngest sibling with a genius mind. Enola embarks on a quest to find her mother who went missing in an anonymous way. The strange thing about the story is that Sherlock is surrounded by a mystery that he does not get to solve. The plot would be a lot different from the Sherlockian ones that audience has already witnessed.

How is Enola’s Sherlock different from the other Sherlock till portrayed?

Henry Cavill who is portraying Sherlock Holmes in the film and explains that this Sherlock is going to be very different from the ones played by actors like Robert Drowney Jr and Benedict Cumberbatch. In the film Sherlock is more of a supporting character.

In an interview with Radio Times, Henry Cavill stated, “Our Sherlock is different from what we may see as the traditional misogynistic genius.

Enola softens Sherlock and opens up his heart, which we haven’t really had access to in other renditions….. It was a lot of fun taking on enormous amount of the pressure was off because Sherlock’s not at the forefront of the story, Enola is- so he is not going to be directly compared to Benedict Cumberbatch or Robert Drowney Jr’s version”.

The actor seemed to be enjoying his part in the film and at ease because his part would not be directly compared to anyone other.
