Simu Liu has responded to the widely circulated image of him standing with “Barbie” co-star Ryan Gosling in Toronto on June 28. The occasion was held before the SAG-AFTRA strike started on July 14.

The query was posted in the comments area of Simu’s blog entry on his most recent song, “Don’t.” I have only one question, are you homophobic or not? It depends on your answer whether I will be your fan or not,” the commenter said. Simu wrote back, “Definitely and unequivocally NOT. Love and acceptance always .”

When another fan questioned the commenter’s motivation, they said, “My friend told me that he said something homophobic on Twitter.” Marvel fans discovered an account belonging to u/nippedinthebud in the past that purportedly belonged to Simu Liu.

Screenshots show that the report once made a troubling comparison between being homos*xual and pedophilic. The remark states, “Ultimately, the role completely changed how I view pedophilia and has made me much more sympathetic to anyone born with those urges.

“Biologically speaking, it’s no different from being gay – a little genetic change that controls our sexual inclinations.” Liu called the site a “slanderous place” on Twitter 2019 after these screenshots surfaced on social media.

Just a reminder that I always push for positivity, the author stated in his letter. Asian masculinity and femininity are portrayed positively, fostering good cultural pride.
