What Is the The Chi Season 6 Part 2 About?

The Chi Season 6 Part 2

The trailer for the sixth season part 2 was shared exclusively with TheWrap, that residents of the South Side experience the all-too-familiar ‘calm before the storm’ as they try to convince one another to remain calm and not stress on matters out of their control – and just to live their lives.

However, this is the ‘calm’ before they are hit with the storm in the form of a rude awakening of vicious threats knocking at their door.

After Q’s murder, Douda (played by Curtiss Cook) resurfaces and shifts loyalties of his inner circle leading to a strain on Emmett’s (played by Jacob Latimore) and Kiesha’s (played by Birgundi Baker) relationship as she had tried to warn the former about Douda’s lingering ties and how Emmett is really ‘playing with fire’.

The sixth season which premieres on Friday the 10th, also picks up with Victor’s (played by Luke James) tangled past that has left a scarring impact on his new role as city councilman whilst newlyweds Jada and Darnell (played by Yolonda Ross and Rolando Boyce respectively), fear for their son Emmett as he makes a desperate and life-threatening move that challenges and puts everything for him, on the line.

The drama series is created and executive produced by Lena Waithe in addition to Common, Aaron Kaplan, Rick Famuyiwa, Derek Dudley, and Shelby Stone of ID8 Multimedia and CEO of Hillman Grad, Rishi Rajani.

Justin Hillian and Jewel Coronel serve as executive producers and co-showrunners for the sixth season thus we know that the upcoming part 2 is returning with a banger!
