Netflix officially announced that the show titled “One Day” will come out for everyone to watch on February 8, 2024, all around the world. The making of this series began on July 4, 2022, in the United Kingdom.
They began shooting the scenes in London and later shifted to Edinburgh, Scotland, in the middle of the month to continue production.
In its first season, “One Day” will have a minimum of 14 episodes for viewers to enjoy. Interestingly, the original plan was to have 15 episodes, each lasting an hour.

The One Day series is based on a book by David Nicholls. It follows Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew, who met in 1988 at university. They spend a day together and form a strong connection. Despite parting ways after graduation, they can’t forget each other.
Over the next 20 years, they meet on July 15th annually, revealing snapshots of their evolving relationship. Dex and Em experience ups and downs, joys, and sorrows.
Despite leading different lives, they hold onto the bond formed on that first day. The story delves into their fights, missed chances, and the essence of love and life.
The book was made into a 2011 movie starring Anne Hathaway. It became a box office success, grossing $59 million from a $15 million budget.
