If others show interest, Taika Waititi, director of Thor: Love and Thunder, is not opposed to parting ways with Marvel Studios (MCU), although he has made it clear that their relationship is currently strong.
Though rumors swirl of a fifth Thor installment, Waititi has not confirmed such plans and is currently focused on other film projects in his pipeline. He remains nonplussed, seeing as his schedule is already quite brimming with work.
Taika Waititi, who previously supervised and co-wrote a Star Wars picture, showed his admiration for Marvel and Chris Hemsworth, pointing out that he does not expect another Thor film to be made until six or seven years.
Hemsworth, who has been rumored to return to the role, has expressed reservations about returning if the audience wants to see it and if there is something fascinating to see.
Hemsworth also stated that he loves re-creating the character and would like to find a method to make it unwatchable. He does not, however, want to perform the role for so long that people will roll their eyes when they see him on TV as that persona.
Tit-Bit of Thor 5!
Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, will have his story concluded in Thor 5. He stated that he wanted Thor’s next appearance in the MCU to be his final, making it more than just another sequel.
It is unknown whether Thor will get a last solo film or if he will leave the MCU in an Avengers film. Thor is expected to make his final appearance in Avengers: Kang Dynasty, where he will die fighting Kang.
This terrible conclusion would allow him to reach Valhalla, similar to Iron Man’s destiny in Endgame. Fans will be pleased with Hemsworth’s statements about a change in tone, as they mixed the celebration to Thor.
Thor 5 may eventually make its way into the MCU, possibly as a Phase 7, 8, or 9 project. It is worth noting that, as of 2023, Thor 5 is not currently listed on the MCU schedule; however, there are unspecified Marvel releases scheduled for 2025 and 2026 which could potentially include Thor 5 in the hidden Phase 5 and 6 lineup.
