An adaptation of the webtoon ‘Morning Comes to The Mental Ward’ – Daily Dose of Sunshine K-Drama series is coming to Netflix soon!

Based on the Kakao webtoon by Lee Ra-ha, a former nurse which highlights the author’s real-life experiences, ‘Daily Dose of Sunshine’ is expected to be quite a hit.

Daily Dose of Sunshine is an upcoming South Korean Netflix Original series directed by Lee Jae Gyoo and written by duo, Lee Nam Gyu and Kim Da Hee.  If her name sounds familiar – that’s because she only recently directed the incredibly successful Netflix horror series ‘All Of Us Are Dead’.

Where this medical K-Drama series is concerned, Park Bo Young stars in it but filming is still ongoing and the series is expected to release on November 3rd, 2023.

The plot of The Daily Dose of Sunshine is all for being a healing drama wherein various types of incidents take place in a psychiatric ward of the hospital – this is expected, given the situation.

However, this is based on the real-life experiences of a psychiatric nurse named Jung Da Eun. We don’t have more in-depth details about the plot but this already sounds like quite a watch!

Who Are the Cast Members of the Series?

As you know, Park Bo Young has been cast in the lead role of nurse Jung Da Eun – marking this her second Netflix Original K-Drama after Abyss.  She is also well-known thanks to her previous works in the beloved K-Drams like ‘Oh My Ghost, Strong Girl Do Bong Soon’ etc.

Yeon Woo Jin plays the role of Dong Go Yoon, making this his debut in a Netflix Original K-Drama and his second role overall.

Jang Doon Yoon plays the role of Song Yu Chan, and this also will mark his first appearance in a Netflix Original since 2018 when he starred in a supporting role in Mr. Sunshine.

Lee Jung Eun has been cast in the role of Song Hyo Jin, and she has starred in a trail of Netflix Originals over the years –For instance, she was in Mr. Sunshine, When The Camellia Blooms, My Hole Love, Hi Bye, Mama! Etc.

What Is the Production Status of the Series?

As per reports, the official production status is: Completed in 2022. This comes as a confirmed status which indicates that filming and post-production processes are finished and all that’s left now is to wait for Netflix to market it and showcase it globally!
