Eileen Universal Pictures Official Trailer Breakdown!

The Eileen trailer indicates the film’s dark tone and 1960s location, as well as a seductive and brutal story.

New details about Neon’s next thriller, which stars Anne Hathaway and Thomasin McKenzie, are revealed in the first trailer for Eileen. Eileen, directed by William Oldroyd, is based on Ottessa Moshfegh’s book of the same name. The plot follows McKenzie’s titular young prison worker as his life turns dark after Hathaway’s Rebecca begins working as a psychologist at the same jail.

Eileen | Official Trailer

The trailer for Eileen carefully creates a feeling of mystery, yet the bits seen and the dramatic soundtrack reveal that the women are on a deadly path. It effortlessly conveys a sense of dread and some of the trouble that fills Moshfegh’s story.

In the latest trailer for the psychological thriller, mild-mannered Thomasin McKenzie suffers an extreme transition when she meets Anne Hathaway.

McKenzie plays the titular Eileen in the new thriller’s teaser, who works in a bleak jail in 1960s Massachusetts and has an equally dreary home life with her sour father.

All of that changes, however, when Rebecca (Hathaway), the new jail psychologist, arrives into her grey world in a red car. Rebecca is all Eileen isn’t, but despite all this, the two women quickly become friends and more.

The central part of the story will concentrate on Eileen and Rebecca, with their friendship eventually turning into a romantic relationship that swiftly turns violent. Soon, a new side emerges, and based on the violence that erupts at the end of the trailer, it may not end well for anybody.

The rivalry between the two women may be hidden initially. Still, one shot in the trailer shows Eileen aiming a pistol at Rebecca’s head, indicating that it will be revealed as the story proceeds.
