Drake used the word ‘Gyal’ which means ‘Girl’ in the Caribbean language which is where Rihanna originally belonged, he took a level further and explicitly sang “Yeah, and the se*x was average with you, Yeah, I’m anti cause I had it with you.”, notice the word anti? Y’all must have guessed it by now that this comes from Rihanna’s album ANTI which was dropped back in 2016.
In one of the lines, Drake sang “Why they make it sound like I’m still hung up on you”, referring to social media narratives that he still loves Rihanna.
In another track, he used ASAP Rocky’s stage name Flacko, and dissed him.
The Internet has gone wild after the launch of the album and Rihanna/Rocky fans have declared war with Drake fans and the Internet is divided, Rihanna fans are taking a jab at Drake and are claiming that he is still not over her ex whom he dated ten years ago, a popular X user wrote, “real men shouldn’t talk about intimate moments with their ex lady”.
Both Rihanna and Drake haven’t spoken anything directly on the matter but it’s more than certain that the diss track had been made on Rihanna.
