The upcoming Japanese Netflix Original sci-fi anime series Pluto is coming in 2023 – and we’re keeping track of everything you need to know!
Pluto, is the adaptation of the manga of the same by authors Naoki Urasawa and Takashi Nagasaki, making it the first adaptation into anime since the manga 14 years ago.
What Is the Plot of Pluto?
According to MyAnimeList, the synopsis of the anime series revolves around robots. A famous military-serviced robot, Montblanc is violently murdered and both humans and robots around the world mourn for this beloved celebrity as this robot’s popularity grew immensely following the war. His dedication to nature conservation and loving personality lived beyond him.
Robotic Europol detective Geisicht is sent to investigate Montblanc’s tragic death but in his pursuit, he uncovers and finds evidence of a mystery in the name of ‘Pluto’.
Geisicht also learns about a conspiracy aiming to dismantle the eight specialized robots around the world who had partaken in the war.
With a time bomb, Geisicht is tasked with saving the remaining robots as he struggles to juggle his memory, morality, and a world full of contempt whilst he desperately tries to defend and sustain the vulnerable coexistence of man and machine.
The Japanese animation studio Genco is the brains and arms for the production of the anime.

When Is Pluto Hitting the Screens?
Netflix is yet to reveal the official release dates for Pluto but viewers can expect to see a preliminary release date on Friday, October 26th, 2023.
