You’ve never seen Emily Blunt and Chris Evans quite like this – it’s considered the vein of ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ and we’re READY for it in Pain Hustlers!
What Is the Pain Hustlers About?

Produced by Lawrence Grey, the story revolves around Liza Drake (played by Emily Blunt), a blue-collar single mom who’s just lost her job and is at the of her wits.
A chance meeting with a pharmaceutical sales representative Pete Brenner (played by Chris Evans) not only promises an upward path but actually puts her on this economically upward but dubious path. The catch? Liza is entangled in a racket scheme.
Liza faces a dilemma as her daughter’s health condition worsens, and she feels aware of the devastation the company is causing. She has to examine and make a choice – and this makes ‘Pain Hustlers’ a sharp and revealing look at what some people are forced to do out of desperation and greed.
The director, David Yates (BAFTA award winner) mentioned that he was intrigued by the pharmaceutical industry, particularly the low-rent end, the workaday reps and sales team that strive to make a living in a hugely competitive business of dealing with people’s pain.

David Yates told Netflix, “From the very first minute of talking to Emily, I knew we’d found our Liza Drake.”
Emily was inspired by the character of Liza Drake and the world of the pharmaceutical industry – and with Chris, she shared the vision of realizing a film that was both entertaining yet had some serious things to say about the crisis, according to Yates.
As for Chris Evans, Yates took the opportunity to cast the former superhero’s all-American screen presence (Captain America).
He also told Netflix that he (Yates) had seen Evans do a couple of things that surprised him. He loved seeing an actor do something that would surprise him.
