Chris Hemsworth VS 9 Actors To Play Thor.

Chris Hemsworth, popularly known for his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was up against nine other actors for the part of the God of Thunder.

Hemsworth has been playing Thor for almost a decade, starring in nine Marvel flicks. His recent Thor: Love and Thunder appearance in 2022 left the door open for more adventures.

With elder brother Luke Hemsworth previously playing Thor in “Ragnarok” and “Love and Thunder,” it only seems to make sense for Liam to be a multiversal alternate version of Chris’ role.

The actor first appeared as the Norse deity in 2011′s Thor and has reprised the role several times since then. He last used his famed hammer in Thor: Love and Thunder in 2022, when he reunited with original franchise actress Natalie Portman.

In an interview, the Australian actor claimed that his younger brother, Liam Hemsworth, almost earned the job following his first audition.

While he is now known as Thor, he had to compete with nine other actors for the job. Surprisingly, one of them went on to make his MCU debut with Chris in Thor. Others have mentioned getting ready for auditions.

Chris confessed that he felt someone he knew would receive the part, but it was not himself. Big brother Chris eventually got the position, debuting as the character in 2011’s Thor and reprising the role in numerous Thor and Avengers flicks.

Daniel Craig, the James Bond actor, was supposedly given the part of Thor but declined owing to commitments for the James Bond series.

Joel Kinnaman, Charlie Hunnam, and Alexander Skarsgard were among the other actors that tried out for the role of Thor. During an interview, Hemsworth expressed his reservations about winning the part of Thor.

“I think my audition sucked,” Hemsworth admitted, noting that his younger brother was one of the last five actors considered for the job. “I think that was the response I got.”

After Hemsworth’s manager informed the casting agents that Liam had an elder brother, Chris, he received a callback. Hemsworth said his subsequent auditions were better, adding that he was inspired by the fact that his younger brother received a callback while he did not.

He also made many other films between his Thor auditions, which he claims gave him more experience and confidence, which aided in his stronger Thor audition the second time.

While Liam Hemsworth did not earn the part of Thor, he did land a significant movie series of his own, playing Gale in the blockbuster Hunger Games films.
