We are eagerly awaiting the return to Belfast for Blue Lights Season 2, which BBC1 said will be back for a second season.
The first episode of Blue Lights, which followed three rookie officers of the Northern Ireland Police Service (PSNI), concluded spectacularly when it broadcasted on BBC2 and the BBC iPlayer in April 2023.
Declan Lawn and Adam Patterson, both of whom grew up in Northern Ireland, are coming back to write the second season.
Blue Lights has become an instant hit, and a lot of fans have attached the rookies to their hearts, thanks to the brilliant cast and Declan and Adam’s perspective,” said BBC Drama Director.

What is the release date for Blue Lights season 2?
Blue Lights season 2 production is expected to begin in Belfast in the summer of 2024, implying that the second season of a six-part series would most likely arrive in early 2024.

What is going to be the storyline for season 2?
The unfortunate passing of PC Gerry Cliff after Blue Lights left the rookie cops stunned, but we felt a fresh commitment from them to keep up their duties in the months that followed that tragedy.
Constable Grace Ellis might be facing some family difficulties to cope with as a result of her son’s run-in with the law, but we’re hoping for some chemistry between her and Stevie. Are we the only people who anticipated they’d kiss after Season One’s last episode?
Constable Tommy Foster became one of Gerry’s major influences, and after his mentor died, the newly hired officer turned down a promotion so he could continue on the beat and help the citizens of Belfast, similar to what Gerry had been doing for so many years.
No one would’ve felt Gerry’s absence more than his girlfriend, Sergeant Sandra Cliff, who will require the backing of her family and coworkers in the months after his death.
