Amazon Prime Video spent a quite quiet May only to surprise us with a number of new television series, new seasons of old series, and entire old series released in June.

Following is a list of the most awaited television series that you must add to your watchlist for June 2023.

Top 10 Television Series to Watch on Amazon Prime Video in June of 2023:

Barnaby Jones (Seasons 1-8)-

Edward Hume developed this detective fiction series the plot of which revolves around a formerly retired investigator named the titular Barnaby Jones, the private detective firm run by his widowed daughter-in-law Betty Jones, and J. R. Jones, the much younger cousin of Jones, who joined the firm half-way through the series.

Buddy Ebsen, Lee Meriwether, and Mark Shera portrayed Barnaby, Betty, and J.R. Jones respectively in the series. It ran from January 28, 1973, to April 3, 1980, on CBS. The whole series is set to be released on Amazon Prime Video on June 1, 2023.

Evening Shade (Seasons 1-4)-

The plot of this American sitcom is centered on an ex-professional football player. Burt Reynolds portrayed the character of Woodrow Newton, known as “Wood”, who comes back to a rural city of Arkansas- the titular Evening Shadem.

There he starts coaching a high-school football team that carries a long losing streak. The former team of Wood shown in the series is the Steelers according to the request of Reynolds, of which he was a fan.

With Reynolds, other main characters of the series include Marilu Henner, Hal Holbrook, Ossie Davis, Charles Durning, Michael Jeter, Jay R. Ferguson, Elizabeth Ashley, Ann Wedgeworth, Ann Hearn, etc.

It ran from September 21, 1990, to May 23, 1994, on CBS. The entire series is set to be released on Prime Video on June 1, 2023.

Everybody Hates Chris (Seasons 1-4)-

This American semi-autobiographical sitcom is based on the memories of comedian Chris Rock’s teenage years.

Although, Rock’s teenage years stretched from 1978 to 1983 instead of 1983 to 1987 during which time the plot of the series is set.

The series ran from September 22, 2005, to May 8, 2009. All four seasons of the series are scheduled to arrive on Prime Video on June 1, 2023.

Charmed (Seasons 1-8)-

Constance M. Burge created this fantasy drama series the plot of which revolves around three sisters who are the most powerful good witches and are referred to as “The Charmed Ones” each of which has evolving unique magical powers.

With their combined “Power of Three”, they fight evil beings and protect innocent lives while trying to carry on normal lives in modern San Francisco and to hide their supernatural identities from others which often results in failure and attracts FBI and police investigations.

The series ran from October 7, 1998, to May 21, 2006, on The WB. On Prime Video the eight seasons of ‘Charmed‘ will arrive on June 1, 2023.

Mork & Mindy (Seasons 1-2)-

The first two seasons of the sci-fi fantasy farce slapstick sitcom that serves as the spin-off of the episode entitled “My Favorite Orkan” of the successful sitcom ‘Happy Days’, are coming to Prime Video on 1st June as well.

The plot finds an extraterrestrial being Mork and his human friend on Earth and eventual love interest- Mindy McConnell where Mork came to Earth from a planet called Ork. The series originally ran from September 14, 1978, to May 27, 1982, on ABC.

Sherwood Schwartz created this sitcom that focuses upon a large blended family consisting of six children among which three are boys and three are girls.

The series ran from September 26, 1969, to March 8, 1974, on ABC. The five seasons are scheduled to arrive on Prime Video on 1st June too.



This Australian comedy tv series is an eight-part series created by the comedian duo Kate McLennan and Kate McCartney. The plot is set in the town of Deadloch of Tasmania where the Winter Festival is on the way.

After a local man turns up dead, Eddie Redcliffe, a detective of Darwin, along with Abby, an overeager junior, and Dulcie Collins, a hard-nosed local begin investigating the case.

The series is made for Amazon Prime Video and is scheduled to be released on June 2, 2023.

The series premiered on Amazon Prime Video on December 17, 2021. The second season that was renewed in April of 2022, is set to arrive on June 2, 2023.
