The first scene of the trailer showed prehistoric life when even an apparent apex predator like the T-Rex was no match for the Megalodon, the giant shark to have ever roamed the oceans.
As Jonas Taylor, a rescue diver who rescued the crew of a crippled nuclear submarine being attacked by an unknown creature, in filmmaker John Turteltaub’s 2018 original, Statham played the lead role.
What that thing was is obvious. When the Megalodon eventually revealed itself to a research team diving in the Marianas Trench’s deepest parts, Jonas was left to save the team members (and a tonne of other people) before the enormous shark once again asserted its supremacy over the planet.
In the new video, Statham is shown collaborating with Wu Jing, a prominent Chinese celebrity who has been in blockbusters, including “The Battle at Lake Changjin,” “Wolf Warrior,” and “The Wandering Earth”!
Before facing a trio of sharks at a land-based tourist attraction, They lead an underwater expedition to explore the ocean’s depths and discover new creatures. But, of course, some eventually become victims of the jaws.
In the role of rescue diver Jonas Taylor, action star Wu Jing partners up with Jason Statham, who is making a comeback, to lead a daring research team on an exploratory dive into the deepest reaches of the ocean.
Their quest, however, turns chaotic when a nefarious mining operation endangers their goal and forces them into a fight for survival.
Our heroes must flee in a heart-pounding race against time, outwit, and outswim their ruthless adversaries, including enormous Megs and persistent environmental plunderers.

“The Meg 2” Max, a close buddy of Jonas, is back with Cliff Curtis, and DJ is back with Page Kennedy. Though maybe Li Bingbing won’t be back as Suyin.
Shuya Sophia Cai, who previously played Suyin’s daughter Meiying, is returning. Thus this is still a possibility. The cast of The Meg 2 poses issues because the mother isn’t born, but the daughter is. Skyler Samuels joins the cast as an “adventure-loving member” of Statham’s submarine team.
One of Meg 2’s antagonists is portrayed by Sergio Peris-Mencheta. Ray Strachan and Wu Jing have joined the film in unspecified roles, while Sienna Guillory describes the director of an applied sciences branch.
