When Is South Korean Film Kill Boksoon Releasing on Netflix?

The upcoming South Korean movie ‘Kill Boksoon’ is just around the corner. The plot revolves around a renowned assassin named Gil Bok-soon who is a single mother at home.

Before renewing her contract with her employer company, she finds herself facing unavoidable confrontation. On the other hand, the legendary killer finds the contract killing industry less disturbing than parenting.

When Is Kill Boksoon Releasing on Netflix?

The film was first confirmed on 4th January 2022 with an ensemble cast in the lead roles. Netflix released the official trailer for the series on YouTube on 16th March this year.

‘Kill Boksoon’ was released at the Berlin International Film Festival on 18th February of 2023. It will be available on Netflix on 31st March.

South Korean actress Jeon Do-yeon portrayed the lead character- a single mother and successful killer Gil Bok-soon. It was reported on April 7, 2022, that she stopped filming for the movie due to an injury, though afterward she resumed filming following her treatment at the hospital.

Do-Yeon became the first Korean actress to win an acting award at Cannes Film Festival when she won Best Actress at the 60th Cannes for her role as Lee Shin-ae in Lee Chang-dong’s drama film ‘Secret Sunshine’. She also won the 1st Asia Pacific Screen Awards for Best Performance by an Actress for this role.
