Explanation About The Unstable Official Trailer

Let’s look at the unstable trailer’s explanation.

The trailer introduces viewers to Ellis Dragon (Rob Lowe), a biotech entrepreneur who has never looked within or questioned his abilities. Although he has a “glass-half-full” outlook on life, many people, including his son Jackson Dragon, have been turned off by his enormous ego (John Owen Lowe).

In the first few seconds of the trailer, we learn that Jackson and his father have a tense relationship that has only worsened after his mother’s demise. Jackson reluctantly goes to check on his father, who is spiraling more into his self-obsessed frenzy after being persuaded by a friend to do so.

Unstable, a comedy series co-created by the Lowes and veteran comedy creator Victor Fresco (Better Off Ted, Santa Clarita Diet), portrays wealthy biotech entrepreneur Ellis Dragon (Rob Lowe) as he tries to get his bearings after the loss of his wife.

However, when Ellis’ staff continue to work on their possibly game-changing invention, his son Jackson (John Owen Lowe) returns home to assist in saving the family business from oncoming collapse.

The younger Lowe joked, “I spent much of my youth keeping him humble. It was a tough assignment.” His father is enjoying himself while helping his son with his task. But, the show’s appeal may lie in the fuzziness of that distinction and how viewers interpret the characters’ on-screen chemistry.

Added John Owen Lowe: “It’s about a relatable father/son interaction. But through a very particular perspective. i.e., a parent who enjoys the limelight and a son who feels the opposite.”

Jackson wants to change Ellis’ perspective and get him to go outside himself for inspiration because he fears being drawn into his circle.

Old habits, however, are hard to break, and despite being able to put himself in his son’s position, Ellis still manages to make it all about him. Knowing that the two are father and son in real life improves the father and son antics relationship, which has the heart of a buddy comedy.

Jackson finds it difficult to escape his father’s influence, especially because Ellis seems to be a potential narcissist. Despite its occasionally heated moments, Ellis’s father-son bond is likely to prevent him from going into an emotional tailspin.
