Guillermo Del Toro is making another film for his contract with Netflix. And this time, it’s based on Mary Shelley’s original 1818 novel, Frankenstein.

Although it’s not sure whether Guillermo Del Toro will be making the film exactly based on the novel or with a little twist of his own, just like many other Hollywood movies based upon the same novel.

Andrew and Guillermo both have a partnership with Netflix, and maybe that’s why the two are collaborating with each other to create one more Netflix special.

Previously, Guillermo created the anthology series Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities and his stop-motion adaptation of Pinocchio for the OTT giant Netflix.

Andrew was last seen as Jonathan Larson in the biopic musical tick, tick…BOOM! It was directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Andrew played the role with such passion and dedication that he won a Golden Globe Award and a nomination at Academy Awards. And even before that, everyone saw the return of Amazing Spider-Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Both Andrew and Guillermo are experiencing a legendary time in their careers. Their careers are on the seventh sky right now. And this clearly states the fact that their collaboration has a lot of potentials.

Guillermo recently announced a stop-motion adaptation of Kazuo Ishigoro’s novel The Buried Giant. So Frankenstein will be after that.

The only weird thing to think about is that Guillermo has been the one who’s widely known for announcing stuff that never gets made.

This means that there is no confirmation about the project until something more official and concrete is announced. For that, we’ll have to stay tuned.
