The upcoming movie ‘Somebody I Used to Know’ is an American romantic comedy film that is scheduled to arrive in 2023. Dave Franco has directed this movie that revolves around a woman named Ally.

Ally is a workaholic woman who has made a trip to her hometown. There she reunites with Sean, her ex-boyfriend, which leads her to question the choices that she has made in her life.

This feeling is intensified after meeting Cassidy. Cassidy is a younger woman in which Ally can see the reflection of her past self. But things get more complicated as Cassidy is the one with whom Sean is now engaged.

The film was planned in August of 2021 as an adaptation of a screenplay that Dave Franco wrote with Alison Brie.

The same month Amazon Studios was announced to distribute the film with Brie, Kiersey Clemons, and Jay Ellis joining the cast of the film. The rest of the cast members joined the cast in September of that year.

Primary filming began around that month and was wrapped up in August 2022. Director Dave Franco has said that the movie is inspired by the romantic comedies of the ’80s and ’90s.

The official trailer of the movie was released on YouTube by Amazon Prime Video on January 12, 2023. The film is scheduled to be released on Prime Video on February 10, 2023.

In the American sitcom ‘Community’ she starred as Annie Edison from 2009 to 2015. She also gave voice to the character of Diane Nguyen and other various characters in the popular adult animated black comedy series ‘BoJack Horseman‘ from 2014 to 2020.

Then from 2017 to 2019, Brie was cast as Ruth Wilder in the comedy-drama series ‘GLOW’.

In the role of Cassidy, we will see American actress Kiersey Clemons in the upcoming movie. Her breakout role was in the 2015 coming-of-age comedy-drama movie ‘Dope’ in which she was cast as Cassandra Andrews or Diggy.

Her other films include ‘Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising‘, ‘The Only Living Boy in New York‘, ‘Flatliners’, ‘Little Bitches’, ‘Hearts Beat Loud’, ‘An L.A.
