Legendary singer and songwriter, Thom Bell has left this earth after contributing a lot to the music industry as well as the entertainment industry.

The news of Thom Bell’s sudden death comes from his publicist who informed the media on Friday regarding the tragic information. The cause of his death was not given by the informant and it is still unknown.

Bell has done work with a lot of artists in Hollywood. His sudden death is truly devastating for all those artists. They shared heartbreaking words for Thom’s soul on their social media handles.

A very popular music producer, Nile Rodgers wrote his heartfelt tribute to Thom on his Twitter.

Nile started his tweet with #RIPThomBell. Rodgers continued, “He is one of the greatest writers and producers of all time. My condolences go out to his family and friends.

He was the architect of the relationship between #BernardEdwards & me as we were the band for the group New York City (I’m Doing Fine Now) a Thom Bell smash.” The tweet was followed by a very famous photo of young Thom Bell all the way back from the black and white era.

The hip-hop icon, DJ Premier too paid his tribute to legendary Bell. While remembering Thom, DJ Premier called him, “One of the reasons why I wanted to have an enormous discography of classics that are timeless!!!”

He continued, “The Stylistics, The Delfonics, The Spinners, Deniece, Williams to name a few…” At last, DJ gave his heartfelt salute to Bell and called him a “King.”

Thom Bell was one who was driven by passion throughout his life. Since childhood, he was moved by singing and songwriting. Bell took birth in Jamaica in 1943. He grew up in West Philadelphia in a big family with nine brothers and sisters.

Bell was married to his wife, Vanessa, and had a total of six children, namely Mark, Cybell, Christopher, Royal, Tia, and Troy.

Throughout his life, Thom blessed the music industry with his voice and great writing skills. He had a homely bond with Linda Creed with whom he worked for various years on a number of soundtracks.

Apart from this, Thom also worked with Kenny Gamble, Daryl Hall, and Leon Huff. He was introduced to a group called Delfonics in 1967. He produced two singles with the group.
