The Makania: Cooking For The Maiko House Releasing In January 2023?

This drama is going to be based upon Aiko Koyama’s Kiyo in Kyoto cooking manga, and this live-action drama which is named “The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House”, has given out a failure recently and a key visual and not to the remaining information regarding this project.

The Makania: Cooking For The Maiko House is actually based on the original manga by Aiko Koyama that has won the 65th Shogakukan Manga Award, and also it has sold more than 2.7 million copies completely.

There are going to be 9 episodes to be distributed exclusively worldwide soon in the month of January on Netflix which is a streaming platform for it.

Hirokazu Koreeda, is a winner of Palme d’Or, which is the highest award at the Cannes Film Festival And they will be in charge of the series as the showrunner.

In the trailer, we will be able to witness Kiyo and order her best friend Sumire, who has left their hometown Aomori in order to come to Kyoto to fulfilling their dream of becoming Maiko in the Gion district.

And after a short time, we can see how Kiyo gives up her dream, because of the fact that she cannot perform with Sumire’s ability in spite all her efforts to practice dances and also develop her skills.
