Tom Holland is a young British actor who is best known for his role as Spider–Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Holland was born in Kingston upon Thames, England, on June 1, 1996, to Nicola Elizabeth (Frost), a photographer, and Dominic Anthony Holland, a comedian, and author.
His paternal grandparents were from the Isle of Man and Ireland, while his maternal grandfather was Jewish (from Poland and Russia). Holland began his acting career in the stage production of Oliver! in London‘s West End, before making his film debut in the historical drama Billy Elliot (2000).
