The Infinix Note 12: Design, Performance, Pricing, and more!

Infinix Note 12 is a more robust model that may not have 5G. Still, with other characteristics like a big AMOLED screen, 8GB of RAM as standard, a 50MP primary camera, and the newest Android 12 software, it’s got the chops to compete with the finest of the affordable market.

Design and Display of The Infinix Note 12

The Infinix Note 12

Shiny, glossy, in-your-face phone design has become popular in recent years. Especially when it comes to inexpensive phones from Chinese manufacturers, the Note 12 G96 is no exception. This has a square-sided frame that steps inwards to the front and back parts, similar to previous iPhones.

The front looks like any other phone, while the rear features a frosted surface in three colors: Force Black, Snowfall, and Sapphire Blue. The phone seems well-built and, unusually for a cheap phone, both the back and the front are made of glass. The frame appears to be made of metal but is constructed of plastic.

The Infinix Note 12 has a 6.7-inch bezel-less display with a top water-drop notch. The capacitive touchscreen of the smartphone is AMOLED and has a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.

Performance

With “groundbreaking performance,” Infinix claims the octa-core CPU with a clock speed of up to 2.05GHz “increases the display and visual enhancements and enhances its gaming skills.”

The phone works OK. However, there is a lot of stuttering while launching apps and watching animations in the OS. It’s not bad, but it’s more evident than competitors, and the experience can be much improved by adjusting the sensitivity in the display settings under ‘Ultra Touch.’

Changing the swipe speed to ultra-fast and the movement speed to fast makes the phone seem much more pleasant and eliminates the jerky animations.

On the rear, the Infinix Note 12 has a triple-camera arrangement with a 50MP f/1.6 primary camera, two 2MP f/2.4 cameras, and an AI Lens. In addition, the firm has formed a 16MP Primary Camera on the front for taking selfies.

Battery Life

A non-removable, 5000mAh battery is included with the smartphone. Additionally, the battery may be charged quickly with 33W.

Conclusion

There’s a lot to appreciate about the Infinix Note 12 G96, beginning with the fact that it has good core specifications even at the lowest price. However, there are a lot of drawbacks and features that rivals provide that prevent the Note 12 G96 from ranking better.

The display only runs at 60Hz, there is no 5G connectivity, no IP waterproofing, the fingerprint scanner is extremely sensitive, and, worst of all, the XOS software is challenging to use due to odd choices and more bloatware than I’ve seen in a long time.
