Mouni Roy Started New Diwali Rituals with Husband Suraj Nambiar

Mouni Roy tied the knot with businessman Suraj Nambiar in 2022 and this is her first Diwali after marriage. Although the actor was quite excited about the celebration in a strange way, she had to travel due to work commitments.

“I won’t be at home when I travel. Although I am sad to miss my time at home, I am very excited to spend the holidays traveling,” says Roy, who will be accompanied on the trip by her husband.

She adds, “I have always loved organizing Diwali parties. It gives me a chance to get the people I love together and just sit together, eat good food and enjoy each other’s company. I’m definitely going to miss it this year.”

When asked about whether there are certain rituals and traditions that she followed before marriage and now wants their husband to be a part of them, the Brahmastra actor shares, “I want to start new rituals with him. Since this feels like a new chapter in my life, I feel like it would be really nice if we could have our own little rituals.”

But one thing she doesn’t miss is good food. “Oh, I’m a big foodie. Diwali is always associated with good home-cooked food. I like to take the time to prepare traditional meals that we associate with childhood and celebrations. Regardless of anything else, kheer is a must,” he concludes.
