Olivia Wilde is not giving up the fight against persistent rumors that she and Florence Pugh, who is starring in her newest film, had a dispute on set.
The release of Don’t Worry Darling, which was directed by Wilde, was overshadowed by tales of drama that occurred behind the scenes of the production. These claims ranged from Shia LaBeouf disputing that he was sacked from the movie to Harry Styles seeming to spit on Chris Pine (which Wilde has since denied).
Wilde has doubled down on her rejection of the enmity that has been said to exist between her and Pugh. Speaking to Elle magazine as part of their Women in Hollywood series, Wilde referred to the rumors as “untruths.”
“This movie is attempting to address huge issues, but it’s ‘Let’s just concentrate on this sideshow over here,'” the film’s director, who also appears in the movie, said. “Let’s just focus on this circus over here.”
