The agency for Rain and Jo Jung Suk vehemently refuted the accusations and also made plans to file a lawsuit. The statement given by Rain’s company is as follows:
“Hello, this is Rain Company. Our firm was aware of the rumors and accusations that were being spread about our artist, but we concluded that it was unnecessary to make an official comment because it was untrue and without basis.
However, since the reports started to circulate widely yesterday and today, not only insults and threats have been made against our artist but also his family. As a result, we came to the conclusion that it is now difficult for us to ignore this issue and would like to state our position.
We believe that our artists’ human rights and dignity should be upheld since they are first and foremost people before they are celebrities. In order to find out if the rumored celebrity is actually one of our artists, we also contacted the media outlet that initially published the story along with the initials. We were told that the initials do not correspond to an artist who is associated with our company.
For those who publish excessively malicious posts and spread untrue information, we will take severe legal action without showing any mercy. We will also file a complaint under the Information and Communications Network Act for defamation, violation of the restriction against the distribution of illegal information, and the spread of false information through indiscriminate sharing. We request that anyone who comes across such posts let us know.”
Jo Jung Suk’s management company, JAM Entertainment, has also adamantly denied the claims that he had an affair with a female golfer, claiming that “Jo Jung Suk has never ever met, let alone had a personal connection to any female golfer.” Both the companies had denied having an illicit relationship with their artists with any of the female golfers.
