Netflix will be releasing Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The film on their streaming platform on August 5, 2022.

Netflix announced its involvement in the project in 2019. There are no signs of a theatrical release for the movie at this time. Production for the film was finished on April 7, 2022.

The movie originally had an earlier release date of August 27, 2021. Also, production was not finished in time and the release date was driven back. This could have been because of the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic

Which induced a number of delays and shifts for important productions for the duration of that point.

Trailer

Netflix released the official trailer for the comedic action lively movie in early July.

The trailer starts with the turtles flaunting a mastery of their mystical powers and stopping a speeding vehicle chase.

In the end, we see the reveal of a character, that many fans of the franchise might be familiar with.

Casey Jones is back, this time as a student of the turtles from the destiny and grandson of the turtles’ nemesis-became-ally Cassandra Jones.

He brings a warning that the Earth may be decimated by using an alien race known as the Krang.

Jones has been sent to the beyond with a purpose to help quell the impending attack and keep the sector earlier than it is too past due.

Unfortunately for our team, it appears the Krang have already been summoned.

Even worse, something happens that makes the turtles lose their mystic powers.

With the destiny of the planet in their hands, the turtles and their rag-tag institution of warriors will have to fight apparently insurmountable odds to defeat the Krang.
