OnePlus 9: The OnePlus 10 Pro was only recently released in China, and we are still learning about the OnePlus 2022 phone line. But, if you’re thinking about getting the OnePlus 9, keep in mind that, while it’s not the most powerful phone in the lineup, it has great specs all around and a price that makes it a solid option for anyone shopping on a budget.

OnePlus 9 Price in India

The OnePlus 9 was released on March 23, 2021, and is now available for purchase. The OnePlus 9 price in India starts at Rs. 37,999. On July 20, 2022, Amazon had the OnePlus 9 for the lowest price at 37,999.

However, it also makes the phone a very good value compared to the OnePlus 9 Pro, even though it lacks some key features and flourishes.

OnePlus 9 Design

The design is slightly thicker than last year’s OnePlus 8, and the flat display does not have the thinnest bezels available. The real letdown, however, is the back and frame. On the back, there’s Corning Gorilla Glass 5, but it feels like cheap plastic. It’s also a magnet for fingerprints.

The camera array is in the same general location on the back, but its shape has changed. The switch to a plastic frame is perhaps the most noticeable design change and one that will be contentious. The power button is on the right, and the volume rocker is on the opposite side of the screen.

The OnePlus notification slider has three positions and is located above the power button. You can switch between rings, vibrate, and mute without waking up the phone.

Gadgets to Use

OnePlus has never quite nailed its camera experience from the start, but the much-touted partnership with Hasselblad this year appears to have made a difference.

As a result, the OnePlus 9 can take some seriously good-looking photos under certain conditions, thanks to its 48MP main Sony IMX689 sensor, 50MP wide-angle Sony IMX766 camera, and 2MP monochrome sensor.

Low light also looks great, with excellent exposure given the circumstances. However, blurry edges from long exposure and multi-frame stitching are often visible. As a result, the details aren’t as sharp as in daylight shots, but the Nightscape mode comes into play, and the overall results are excellent.

Performance

The OnePlus 9 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, which puts it on par with the Samsung Galaxy S21, at least on paper.

In terms of performance, it more than holds its own, with a Geekbench 5 multi-core average score of 3654, outperforming nearly every Android phone on the market.

Battery Life

Slashdigit

The OnePlus 9 has a 4,500mAh battery, which is sufficient for the day, though there are other flagship phones with larger batteries.

The OnePlus 9 has the same battery size as its 9 Pro sibling, but I found it to have significantly better battery life. What’s the reason for this? Most likely, it’s all about the screen. It is slightly smaller and has a lower resolution than the 9 Pro, measuring 6.55 inches and having 2,400×1,080 pixels. That means fewer pixels to illuminate, which means less drain on the battery.
