Alba: 2022 Upcoming Film and the Primary Cast Members

Alba Update: Daniel Sayer has written and directed the new film ‘Alba’ that is arriving at the very beginning of next month. The plot of the film revolves around two friends whose friendship goes back a long time. They used to share the same kind of experiences as well as likes and dislikes.

But now they have been estranged for a long time. What happens when in an English garden town they meet again with each other? Can the seemingly impossible occur?

The primary cast members of the series are Marija Skaricic and Jon Foster. The filming of the movie occurred in the United Kingdom. The movie is set to release on August 1, 2022, in the UK.

Marija Skaricic as Alba:
Croatian actress Marija Skaricic will be seen playing the titular character and one of the two main characters of the film. Born in Split of SR Croatia, she graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2003. Though from 2001 she began acting professionally in various plays.

In 2000, Skaricic acted in a film titled ‘Nista od satarasa’. The same year she appeared in a small role in the Croatian comedy movie ‘Cashier Wants to Go to the Seaside’. The next year she was cast as a minor character for the Croatian football comedy movie ‘Go, Yellow’.

In the 2002 film ‘God Forbid a Worse Thing Should Happen’, and 2004 films The Society of Jesus and the biographical drama ‘100 Minutes of Glory’ she also appeared as a minor character. Her first major role was in the 2004 film ‘A Wonderful Night in Split where she was cast as a drug addict named Maja.

In 2006 Skaricic played the role of Ana in Swiss filmmaker Andrea Staka’s ‘Das Fräulein’. For this role, she won the Heart of Sarajevo Award. In 2008 Skaricic the sister to Maja was played by Jadranka Dokic in Zrinko Ogresta’s ‘Behind the Glass’.

Then in 2010, she portrayed the main character Mare in Dalibor Matanic’s ‘Mother of Asphalt’ and won a Pula Film Festival Award for this role.

The same year she also played Leyla in the German movie ‘Shahada’ which was nominated for the 60th Berlin International Film Festival for Golden Bear. In 2013 she played the role of Marija in Vinko Bressan’s ‘The Priest’s Children’.

Her other films include ‘Pos’o Je dobar, a para laka’, ‘Nije bed’, ‘Mrtvi kutovi’, ‘The Biggest Mistake of Albert Einstein’, ‘Pravo cudo’, ‘Kradljivac uspomena’, ‘Zagrebacke price’, ‘In the Land of Wonders’, ‘Covjek ispod stola’, ‘Bella Biondina’, ‘Visoka modna napetost’, ‘Cvjetni trg’, ‘Breasts’ etc. The tv series in which Skaricic appeared are ‘Novo Doba, ‘Bumerang’, ‘Operacija Kajman’, ‘Bitange I princeze’, ‘Mamutica’, ‘Odmori sees, zasluzio si’, ‘Provodi I sprovodi’ etc.

Jon Foster as Jacob:
The other friend of the 2022 film ‘Alba’ Jacob is played by American actor cum musician Jon Foster. His wife is the daughter of Steven Tyler, a famous musician, and Jon and his wife together founded the electronic-soul duo Kaneholler.

Foster began his acting career with the role of Kenny O’Donnell Jr. in the American historical thriller political movie ‘Thirteen Days’ in 2000. The next year he appeared in ‘Life as a House and in 2003 as a cameo role in ‘Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. In 2004 he was cast as one of the main characters Eddie O’Hare in Tod Williams ‘The Door in the Floor’.

In the horror supernatural movie ‘Stay Alive’ Foster was cast as Hutch in 2006. In 2008 he portrayed Art Bechstein in ‘The Mysteries of Pittsburgh’ where he co-starred with Sienna Miller and Peter Sarsgaard. The same year he also played the role of Graham Sloan in Gregor Jordan’s ‘The Informers. In 2009 Foster played Eric Komenko in the American Australian crime film ‘Tenderness’.

Portraying the character of Frank, Foster appeared on screen in 2010 in the American thriller movie ‘Brotherhood’. The same year he also played Champ Pride in the Canadian action western movie ‘The Last Rites of Ransom Pride. In 2011 he was cast as Michael Whitaker in the crime drama ‘Rampart’.

In 2013 Foster co-starred with Sarah Jones in the horror thriller ‘Mr. Jones’. He also starred as Roscoe Joe in the American Western movie ‘Poor Boy’ in 2016 and as Owen in Lauren Miller’s dramedy ‘Like Father’.

Foster was cast as one of the primary characters in the CBS sitcom ‘Danny’ where he played the role of Henry in 2001. From 2004 to 2005 Foster played the role of Ben Connor in the American teen drama series Life as We Know It’ on the ABC network.

In 2006 he starred as Damian Brunner in the American serial drama ‘Windfall’. And from 2009 to 2010 he was cast in another CBS sitcom which was titled ‘Accidentally on Purpose’ where he played the role of Zack Crawchuck.
