Avril Lavigne Postponed “Love Sux” Tour Due to Covid-19

Avril Lavigne pushing off her U.K. and European tour dates. Due to COVID-19 restrictions. Bad news for the fans of “Complicated” singers. As the Canadian singer-songwriter was due to go off with live tours later this month.

The singer is just hard some weeks away from releasing her most recent album, “Love Sux”. This comes out on February 26 through Travis Barker’s label DTA Records.

The fans are eagerly waiting for the artist’s seventh studio album. Because it would be her first new music released since 2019. She was due to promote the album release with a bunch of live gigs throughout U.K and Europe soon after. But unfortunately, they have now pushed back again for more than an entire year.

The fans are dejected as this tour was initially set to take place in March/April 2020. But was pushed back to 2021 due to COVID-19. New dates were announced for the last October. But now again it’s driven off 2023 most probably April.

Some fans also showed off how Lavigne and the team are constantly pushing off the tour dates. Since this tour was bound to happen in 2019. Then the new postponing news means it’ll be taking place after nearly four years, the tour was scheduled.

The singer shared the update with fans, taking to social media on 7th February. Because of UK and European COVID 19 restrictions.

As Avril Lavigne wrote – “I have to make the difficult decision to postpone this tour until 2023.”  The statement continued

“Due to the ongoing issues surrounding the pandemic, there are a series of travel and venue restrictions from country to country that have made the tour not possible to happen.”

With some stops in major cosmopolitan centers like Vienna, Milan, Manchester, Berlin, etc. Before closing in three nights in London from 7-10 May 2023. The show tickets that fans already bought will be available for the show’s new dates.

Avril Lavigne announced the news after Angels & Airwaves and Franz Ferdinand both pushed off their scheduled tour. Because of COVID restrictions in UK and Europe.

She also talked about her single releases from Love Sux- Bite Me and Love It When You Hate Me. And also working experience with Mark Hoppus on her upcoming album. Even after all of this, the fans are very excited about the album and especially Lavigne’s collaboration in “Bois Lie” with Machine Gun Kelly.
