Cobra Kai Season 4 Features Longer Episodes And Even More Montages.

Cobra Kai Season 4 Updates: Cobra Kai fans can expect a lot from the upcoming fourth season of Netflix’s famous show, including longer episodes and a slew of fantastic, motivating montages. During an impromptu Q&A with fans on social media, Cobra Kai creator Hayden Schlossberg revealed these intriguing findings, noting, “One thing you don’t have to worry about is montages,” while teasing even more bang for our buck in Cobra Kai season 4.

Hayden Schlossberg also says that the episodes that make up season 4 will be substantially longer, which should be welcome news to those who can’t get enough of 80s karate heroes Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence. While the exact length of some of these episodes is unknown, it’s safe to predict that they’ll be around 45 minutes or longer, with prior series episodes averaging between 20 and 30 minutes.

Cobra Kai picks up 34 years later and re-examines the events of The Katare Kid from Johnny Lawrence’s perspective, reintroducing spectators to some of the greatest heroes of 1980s cinema. Johnny’s life has come to a halt, so he decides to restart the Cobra Kai karate dojo, reigniting an old rivalry with Daniel LaRusso.

Cobra Kai’s third and most recent season ended with a major shift in the status quo, with Daniel’s Miyagi-Do dojo teaming up with Johnny’s new Eagle Fang trainees to battle Cobra Kai, which had been taken over by the frightening John Kreese. Their surprising ceasefire comes after a visit from Elisabeth Shue’s Ali Mills Schwarber, a key character from The Karate Kid’s past, which resulted in a much more restorative encounter than the characters, or the audience, could have imagined.

In Season 4, the feuding couple will have to learn to work together, which William Zabk is looking forward to “I was thrilled Johnny and Daniel found common ground and aligned themselves at the end of Season 3,” Zabka said. “My friend’s enemy is my adversary.” It’s a fantastic note to end on and an excellent starting point for the rest of the story.”

Daniel and Johnny’s unstable marriage will face several big difficulties in Cobra Kai season 4, as Kreese brings in his own partner in the form of Terry Silver from The Karate Kid Part III. Terry Silver, a figure many fans thought would return for more revenge-fueled antics against Danny LaRusso and the legacy of Mr. Miyagi, will once again be performed by actor Thomas Ian Griffith, with his vicious, violent, and offensive skills expected to equal even John Kreese’s.

Cobra Kai has been a great hit for Netflix for the first few seasons, and the forthcoming fourth season is set to continue the trend. Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Mariduea, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni DeCenzo, Martin Kove, Vanessa Rubio, and Peyton List will star in Season 4 of Cobra Kai, which will premiere on December 31.
