Ciara Pays Tribute to Selena Quintanilla-Pérez In Halloween Costume

Ciara Updates: The actress Ciara has won the Halloween for this year. On Friday, 29th October, the singer hot transformed into Mexican-American icon Selena Quintanilla-Pérez and shared her photos on Instagram as the late queen of Tejano music.

She wore a cross top in the singer’s famed bandeau along with flared pants and photoshopped herself on the cover of the makeshift album for the last concert of Selena Live.

Since she was learning Spanish she wanted the Latinx culture to reflect in her costume this year.

Ciara captioned the post as “I’ve been practicing learning Spanish and having the time of my life. So I wanted one of my costumes to reflect the LatinX culture. This was so much fun!” and said that this is the reason she wanted the LatinX culture to reflect in the costume.

According to her the costume is from Los Angeles-based clothing brand LA ROXX and did the celeb hairstylist César DeLeön Ramîrez.

Ciara also performed in Bidi Bidi Bom Bom, one of Selena’s hit songs, edited and shot by Moses Alexander, who is a digital creator, and she has also shared the video.

“Me llama SELENA!!” she captioned the video. “Welcome to my show! Bidi Bidi Bom Bom.” This year’s costume is not the first time Ciara has paid homage to an influential woman in music.

For Halloween 2020, Ciara famously dressed as rapper Cardi B, recreating the album art for Invasion of Privacy, while her son Future, 7, dressed as Cardi’s husband Offset.

The rapper wrote, “I’m gagging! I love it! I’m so hype!” the “WAP” to which Cardi even made a response on her Instagram page. She wrote that “I’ve always been a huge fan of @ciara and became an even bigger fan after I met her! She is the sweetest and the nicest person in the world! A true peach! Staying sweet and humble was the prayer!”

Previously Ciara with Russel Wilson, her husband dress as Beyoncé, and Jay-Z took the look from the music video APESHIT for 2019 Halloween. The couple got featured as wearing blue and purple suits at the Louvre Museum in Paris.
