Squid Game Season 2 Updates: There’s been a lot of hype about the series on Netflix called the Squid Game. This series is a Korean series and the story plot is all about the 456 people who are bankrupt and are in debt. These people are invited for a game and herein their end is either they turn out to be super rich or they die.
Just in some weeks, Ted Sarandos the CEO of Netflix has claimed that this show is the biggest show ever on this platform. The audiences have binged watched this show and now the inevitable question becomes what’s next for the hit series?
The creators or the directors did not see this series to have been become a global sensation and now it has become mandatory to actually have a second season to this series considering the series left enough loose ends to generate a sequel, but we might be in for a long wait.
Squid Game Season 2 Theory
Bela Bajaria the head of Netflix global TV said that it is very exciting that a series is getting so much love and response and initially nothing has been decided about sequel’s but hopefully they are going to work with the creatives of the series and see how things unfold.
In an interview with the Vultures, she said that the Korean series creator admitted it took him six months to work on just the first two episodes of Squid Game, and exhaustion took the best of him. So, going into Season 2, Dong-hyuk wants to work with a writer’s room and call several directors for different episodes.
This is not the first time that Netflix has expanded a concept that proved highly successful internationally; having a global hit series like Squid Game to fill in the gap for Money Heist in 2022 might be a good way to keep subscribers and attract new ones.
