About SpiderMan: No Way Home is the first product to be presented online. Items like Peter’s updated Spider-Man suit and the role of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) have been teased in the various toys.
Spider-Man 3 New Suit
As noted by Soundbytes87 on Reddit, the package for one of the SpiderMan: No Way Home characters includes new details about the background of Peter’s new “built-in suit”. The blurb on the back of the figure describes the red, black, and gold suit as an “Integrated Iron Spider Suit”. As in, this is Peter’s suit from Avengers: Infinity War, albeit with a few tweaks.
Some have suggested that Spider-Man’s suits for No Way Home seem to have a magical component to them, perhaps thanks to his new association with Doctor Strange. The built-in suit appears to have the appearance of Iron Spider, but with built-in magic.
An interesting twist on the classic Spider-Man skills, and it will be interesting to see how it works in No Way Home. The Iron Spider look linked Peter with Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), and now he has a few moments for his new mentor, Doctor Strange.
Chances are the first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home features footage of the built-in suit in action. While Marvel often likes to keep things like that under lock and key (see: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’s final reveal of Sam Wilson’s Captain America costume), toys revealed online have already opened the door wide.
I want to see new footage of Spider-Man flying through the air, and the trailer is sure to deliver. Until then, however, future merch releases may have more clues as to what Spider-Man: No Way Home has in store.
