Queen of the South Season 5 Updates: 1. WOMEN JEFE: As we all know from history that mostly in movies and TV shows where there are drugs involved and women are shown as sex toys. The girls are running around in bikinis and snorting cocaine.
Whereas, in this show it starts as something similar with one of the main characters “Teresa” but “Camila” is a badass woman from the start as she helped her husband build his drug empire from the ground up and starts building her own in Texas.
2. TERESA MANDOZA :
The main character in the show starts as the badass woman in a white dress coming off a chopper and dies. Then we jumped several years back where Teresa is a poor and helpless woman then she falls in love with a drug runner who showers her with wealth and when he dies her whole life falls apart typical right! but wait for it.
The helpless woman ensued the loyalty from the same man who was sent to kill her and now he is her bodyguard which is a pretty powerful persuasion technique. I am not going much into detail to avoid spoilers.
3. MORAL CODE :
In this show after the first season when Teresa is actually in the position where she can kill people and have her own cartel. She mostly tries to avoid it, Her own people sometimes question her decision that a drug cartel can be run without bloodshed but, she’s not all fluffy when the situation demands that she needs to eliminate a certain someone to avoid further bloodshed she will do so.
Queen of the South Season 5 4. STRATEGIC MIND :
Emirates Women
She had very powerful women as a mentor to a certain degree, so she learned from her what not to do when shit hits the fan.
She comes up with different strategies to smuggle and distribute drugs. she doesn’t conventionally use his drug mules, Although she trusts people way too easy which I think she learns after a while as they showed us in certain flash-forwards.
5. FICTION :
As most of the drug-related shows and movies are real stories that bounce the writers and directors to a certain degree, this show is fiction and taking place in the present which gives the writers a bit of a breathing room as they can come up with very interesting and thriller way of showing us traces life story how she becomes from a peasant to queen pin of the drug empire.
