Resident Evil Village PC Update Fixes Annoying Frame Rate Issue

Resident Evil Village Updates: Resident Evil Village developer Capcom released a new update for the game which will address the frame rate issues arising from the game’s anti-piracy technology.

Resident Evil Village is the latest game in the series. It came out in May and was released for both PC and console. The horror game, however, proved to be frustrating for PC users because of some frame rate problems when playing the game on certain hardware.

Resident Evil Village has done well for itself in the two months of its release. It has become one of the biggest releases of 2021, having sold over 3 million copies in just four days. The success of the game is owed to its new-gen graphics, atmospheric locations, and terrifying enemies. It is surely one of the most successful games in the series. The game has met with mostly positive reviews but some PC players complained of some technical issues at launch.

There has been the latest update of Resident Evil Village. The official Resident Evil account on Twitter announced the update and of the added features. The post confirmed that FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) from AMD is now supported on PC. The new update regarding FSR will make higher frame rates supported on PC.

The update also made adjustments regarding the game’s anti-piracy technology (DRM). Now players on PC can experience the game with fewer frame rate hitches.

The update was released a few days after the complaints from players on PC. The players noticed frame rate issues during enemy encounters and cutscenes. The same problems were not present in the pirated versions of the game which does not contain DRM. As it turns out, the game works better on PC without Denuvo DRM.

The latest update has adjusted the DRM and the frame rates to give a better gaming experience for PC players. Capcom did not confirm that the update was the direct result of the complaints but the company had earlier released a statement saying that the issue will be fixed with an upcoming update.

Frame rate stutters and blips were part from the very beginning but the latest update will surely smooth things over and make the gaming experience better. Capcom is still continuously working on fixes and patches for the game. The company is also working on another project on the side.

They announced earlier in the summer that they have been working on DLC. Although, there isn’t anything known of what the DLC will entail or its possible release date. Resident Evil Village can be played on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
