Christopher Judge will be voicing over Marvel’s Avengers Black Panther in the DLC. Judge, who played the role of Kratos in God of War in 2018, will lend his skills to the voice of Black Panther in Marvel’s Avengers DLC. This might not come as a surprise to many fans as from a leaked Marvel’s Avengers information back in December 2020 which suggested that Judge would assume the role of iconic Marvel hero. Few leaks also suggested the release of the DLC even before it was announced officially during Square Enix Presents in March 2021.
Kratos actor to voice Marvel’s Avengers Black Panther
The villain will undoubtedly wreak havoc across Wakanda in the eagerly-anticipated Marvel’s Avengers DLC, too. Speaking in an interview, Christopher Judge confirmed that he will be taking up the role of voicing Black Panther in the new DLC of Marvel’s Avengers. He will lend his skills to T’Challa in the War for Wakanda expansion. Judge also told that he initially turned down the part due to his fear of being compared to the late Chadwick Boseman’s wonderful performances.
“The only way I could really wrap my head around it was to not even attempt a voice match, to let my performance stand on its own,” Judge said. “I put all that into it and hopefully people like it.”
Marvel’s Avengers version of Black Panther is different from the MCU counterpart which is yet to align with the Avengers. Earlier, Black Panther was in talks with Steve Rogers about partnering up with the superhero team. But, Captain America’s passing just meant that the negotiations never went ahead. The expansion takes place five years later and sees Klaw enter Wakanda as a hired person to steal Vibranium.
