‘The Crown’ Star Emma Corrin Reveals Major Life Change on Instagram

Emma Corrin Updates: Emma Corrin, who played Princess Diana in Season 4 of Netflix’s The Crown, posted a selfie on Instagram earlier this week wearing a breast binder over their chest. On Instagram, the 25-year-old celebrity also altered their preferred pronouns to she/they. Corrin has previously identified as LGBT on social media.

Corrin’s Instagram post featured three black and white images, two of which showed them wearing the binder during a session with photographer David-Simon Dayan. “We utilized boxing wrap sometime before I got my first genuine binder, fooling about with [Dayan], thanks for documenting this with me, very intimate, very new, very amazing,” Corrin commented. “It’s all a trip, after all. There are a lot of twists and turns and changes, and that’s fine! Accept it.

Bind securely and experiment to find what works best for you.” Corrin has received support from a number of celebrities, including Jennifer Garner, who replied with three heart emojis. Some transgender and gender nonbinary people decided to utilize chest binding to alleviate feelings of body dysphoria.

Corrin has referred to themselves as gay on Instagram many times, according to Entertainment Tonight. Corrin uploaded photographs of herself donning a bridal veil for Pop Magazine in April, captioning them, “Ur favorite queer bride.”

On June 29, she posted photographs from an Anna X play with the caption, “Everyone is queer and everyone is just experiencing so much.” Joseph Charlton wrote Anna X, which is about two people who attempt to construct the perfect persona in order to keep up with New York’s social elite. Corrin will appear in the play from July 10 to August 4 at London’s Harold Pinter Theatre.

Corrin’s first main role was in The Crown, following a recurrent appearance in Pennyworth. Their portrayal of Princess Diana received great praise, earning her nominations for a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series.

The cast of The Crown Season 4 was also nominated for a SAG Award for Outstanding Drama Series Ensemble. Corrin will also appear in the forthcoming film My Policeman.

Corrin told Rege-Jean Page of Variety that they went to an audition for The Crown simply to help read with the women the casting producers were considering for Camilla Parker Bowles. There was no pressure since Corrin didn’t believe they were auditioning. They did, however, end up landing the part of Diana. Seasons 5 and 6 will be filled by Elizabeth Debicki.

“It’s extremely strange to hear everyone’s viewpoint on this in retrospect,” Corrin said of the casting process. “‘It’s the ideal setting since it’ll be a no-pressure audition,’ said my agent. We agreed that I should prepare as if it were an audition. So I did, and I worked on my voice with my mother, a speech therapist. Then I memorized the lines. And I was simply having fun because I wasn’t doing anything at the time.”
